Custom blends begin with a 60-90 minute interview. During this time, the client completes a questionnaire to help determine the individual’s particular scent profile. Based on the profile certain essences, from our vault of hundreds, are pulled for the individual to sample. We proceed to build the fragrance from the top, to the middle to the bottom notes. Once this process is complete Phi-nomenal’s perfumer hand blends three scents that fit the profile of the individual. The custom scents are mailed out to provide the client with an opportunity to sample the fragrances and determine how they react with their own body chemistry. Once a decision has been made, the favorite formula is poured into the custom bottle that was selected by the individual during the initial interview. The final product can either be picked up at Voilà or shipped. The formula is kept on file for future refills and additional products like body wash, lotion and shampoo.
